On August 10th, 2026, YNDC completed the Youngstown Citywide Property Conditions Survey that the organization conducts every few years to assist with planning and implementing services. Over the course of three months, surveyors assessed every residential and commercial property in the City, documenting vacancies and exterior condition issues such as significantly peeling paint and missing gutters.
The survey noted the following:
Occupied Residential Properties with Roof Issues – 1,424
Occupied Residential Properties with Other Exterior Issues – 1,082
Vacant and Tax Delinquent Residential Properties: 571
Vacant and Taxes Paid Residential Properties – 1,235
Occupied Commercial Properties with Exterior Issues - 98
Vacant and Tax Delinquent Commercial Properties – 63
Vacant and Taxes Paid Commercial Properties – 191
