The Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corp. will take over
control Oct. 1 of Interfaith Home Maintenance Service Inc., a longtime agency
that has provided emergency home repairs for low-income people, especially the
elderly and physically challenged, primarily in Youngstown.

The
Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corp. and Interfaith Home Maintenance
Service have begun the process of merging. 

Early Friday morning, some 1,200 volunteers in bright, green
shirts gathered at the Covelli Centre alongside a box truck with the word
“Revitalize” printed on the side.

Chambers of commerce in eastern Ohio and western
Pennsylvania will jointly host the inaugural “Rising Rust Belt: A regional
revitalization economic summit” next month.

Nearly every chair is filled in Dave Pegg’s Barbering &
Shave Parlor mid-morning in mid-August.

Owner Dave Pegg, who has operated his own barbershop for six
years, opened a storefront in the Applegate Building in Sharon, Pa. this
spring.
