The city’s board of control today is expected to authorize $2.7 million in projects funded through the American Rescue Plan as well as finalize contracts to have 717 Credit Union administer three housing programs that will use $13 million in ARP dollars.
City council agreed to spend $1.98 million in American Rescue Plan dollars and redirect another $2.1 million from the federal program for different projects, including up to $1.8 million to purchase a new fire truck.
The Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corp. received a $1.5 million grant from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Pittsburgh to build affordable housing in the city.
